My Travel Story

My study abroad experience will contribute to my academic interests since I am interested in exploring more art mediums. I would like to branch out and learn new techniques since I am new to printmaking. Being in Venice while discovering new techniques will inspire me to try new things since Venice is a place of immense beauty and architecture. I have been to Italy before when I was in high school and remember being really inspired to create while I was there. I would like to take that passion and enhance it with newfound skills I will learn while in the study abroad program. I have always been enthusiastic about learning and studying abroad while learning art would be an incredible experience for me as an art major. When I did an internship at an art studio, there were many printmakers that shared their work with me, which made me excited to learn and appreciate the medium. This program would help with my academic requirements by providing honors college credit and fine arts credits.
