In December of 2016 Sarah was diagnosed with papillary renal cell carcinoma. There is no known cure for this rare cancer, but she has been fighting it hard. Her current treatment is the 3rd try. The 1st two types of treatments didn't work.  She is on TennCare - public aid, so her care is limited. Only 5 prescriptions are covered each month. The rest of her medications are paid out of pocket. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help with out of pocket medical expenses and everyday living expenses. We are so thankful for so many good people helping her out.
She is striving to live each day to its fullest while waiting and hoping for a currently unavailable cure. In the last couple of months, Sarah and her boyfriend, Bryce Cole have been singing and writing songs and have been recording an EP. This has been breathing new life in her, giving her more motivation, peace and passion.
Her good friend, Erin, her mom and I, along with her family and her friends, are trying to make her and her young boys' lives a little more magical by trying to get them to Disney World. We want them to make some fun, special memories. We would love for them to experience Disney World with all of the bells and whistles! We want Sarah and the boys to have the Disney dream of a life time - the best of the best! These boys deserve to get lost in the complete magic of Disney.  If we need to scale down the plan, we will - but for now we are planning big, with all of the extra special things for them to enjoy. She does not meet the criteria for Make A Wish along with many other wish granting organizations. Erin started an internet campaign and it is gaining traction!  #SendSarahsKiddies2Disney. Sarah has been featured on 2 local Nashville news stations. We hope that you would be willing to help us too. We know that you will love this young mom and the light that she brings to all of us. Her little boys, William, 8 years old - Jude, 6 years old - and Eliot, 4 years old are full of life and love! They are pretty adorable too! She lives for these boys.
