My Travel Story

When my then 8 year old daughter started her period I decided to write a book on early start of menstruation that will educate girls who may find themselves in her situation. The book launch is in USA,New York and its my wish to attend and bring the education home to our young girls. 
Most girls in our rural community do not have the support that they require from their parents and this book will close that gap... the book will be used as a part of a literary drive within my NPO,My Blissful Period Foundation which houses other programs namely: Closing the gap reading program, I am Poetry Academy and the "Why he behaves like that" mental health program for boys in high school.

The book launch warms my heart as it is the beginning of a long awaited life long journey to impart knowledge on younger girls which they will carry for life. I am very passionate about making a difference in children's lives because I understand how it feel to not be heard and understood and supported and my aim is to offer that ear and support.
