My Travel Story

by: Jenna Brown Start Date: Jun 27, 2016 - End Date: Mar 26, 2017
With Irish heritage in my blood and a passion for a career in physical therapy, this World Endeavors internship opportunity fits me quite perfectly. A few goals during this trip include adapting myself to a new culture, comparing therapeutic practice and mechanisms to what I have observed so far, connecting with therapists on innovative research, developing lasting relationships with new friends, and learning about the history and beauty of the land.

I will be interning a physical therapy clinic for 40 hours per week over a span of 8 weeks. These hours of experience and observation will not only give great vigor to my application to physical therapy doctorate programs, but also strengthen my critical problem solving skills in a teamwork environment.

My goal is to raise $6,600, which includes my program cost, fees, and round trip airfare. It would be very much appreciated if you would be willing to support me, either through donating funds or providing words of wisdom/advice, to help make this trip a reality.

World Endeavors is a reliable, accommodating program to help "put yourself out there," which is their motto. They provide many opportunities for people of all ages to study, volunteer, and intern abroad. If you would like to know more information about my trip or browse their site, click on the link provided.
