My Travel Story

Hello, I’m a 20 year old girl from North Yorkshire in England. For the past year I have been struggling immensely with my mental health including anxiety and depression. Before this episode of my life started I was a happy, confident and bubbly person! I loved travelling, going out and doing new things. That all changed at the start of 2023 when I started a new job role in a local accident and emergency department, it had a huge impact on my mental health, I’ve been out of work since October 2023…I’ve struggled with every aspect of my life from socialising, working, exercising, eating etc I go weeks without leaving my home at all it’s gotten that bad. Now this isn’t a sob story and I am not one to ever ask for anything from anyone, but I am in need of a serious change to get myself back on track, and I don’t have the funds to help myself at this moment. I have a plan to leave my home town for 1-2 months and to go and travel most likely Thailand, Malaysia, Bali...that sort of area. I have always thrived and been at my happiest when in new country's, seeing different places, cultures etc. I’m hoping that this is going to start my healing process, I’m going to be able to find peace in myself again and fight back my independence, adventure and life. I would be forever grateful for any form of help that’s going to contribute to make this happen.
