Help Me, Finish My Final Year of Medical School
My Travel Story
My name is Brahmanand, and I’m a medical student in my final year at the University of Poltava in Ukraine. I come from Kaloi Tharparkar, a remote village in Pakistan where life is a daily struggle. We have no proper electricity, no gas for cooking, and the water we drink is unsafe, leading to severe health problems in our community. My father, driven by the hope of giving our family a better life, took out loans to send me to Ukraine to pursue my education. His dream, and mine, is for me to become a doctor and bring much-needed healthcare to our village.
For the past four years, my father has worked tirelessly to pay my tuition, despite already being burdened with debt from the bank loans he took out for my education. I’ve also been working to contribute what I can from my salary, but as the final year’s fees approach, we are facing an impossible financial hurdle. I urgently need 8,300 usd to pay my tuition, or the university will have no choice but to rescind my enrollment, leaving me unable to complete my degree.
**How Will This Impact My Education or Career?**
This funding is crucial to my ability to finish my medical degree. If I can’t pay the fees, I’ll be forced to leave the university just before reaching the finish line, and all the years of hard work, sacrifice, and dreams will be lost. Completing my education will allow me to become a doctor and return to my community, where I can provide the healthcare they desperately need.
**How Will I Make a Difference in the Community?**
With my medical degree, I plan to return to Kaloi Tharparkar and open a clinic where I can offer essential healthcare services. I will work to educate my community on health and hygiene, and provide care to prevent the diseases that have claimed too many lives. This is not just about treating illnesses; it’s about giving my people hope for a healthier future.
**Why Am I Passionate About This Project?**
Having grown up in a place where basic healthcare is a luxury, I’ve seen the devastating effects of poor health on my community. I’m determined to change this reality. My passion for this project comes from a deep desire to give back to the people who raised me and to ensure that future generations don’t have to suffer as we have.
**Why Did I Choose This Destination?**
I chose Ukraine for its strong medical education system, which is both affordable and internationally respected. The University of Poltava has given me the knowledge and hands-on experience I need to become a skilled doctor, capable of making a real difference when I return home.
**What Makes This Meaningful for Me?**
This journey is deeply personal. It represents not only my own dreams but also the hopes of my family and community. This is about more than earning a degree; it’s about fulfilling a mission to bring hope, health, and a brighter future to those who need it most.
**Why I Need Your Help**
As I enter the final year of my studies, I need to pay 8,300usd in tuition fees. Despite my father’s best efforts and my own contributions from working, we cannot cover this amount. Without your support, I’ll be forced to leave the university, unable to complete my degree, and my dream of becoming a doctor will be shattered. Your generosity will not only help me finish my education but will also impact countless lives in my community. Thank you for considering and supporting my cause.
