My Travel Story

I am a teacher in a large suburban school. I will be leading a trip (not school-sponsored. Our district no longer has any involvement) to London, France and Italy for 11 days in June of 2024.  This will be my second trip iand while we have a large minority population in our schools, very few of our minority students have the funding to go on the trips.  I'd like to be able to offer scholarships for as many minority students who take a World Language and are just darn good people to be able to go and have the same experience as their peers.
As I've mentioned, this is my second trip with students overseeas (in more than 20 years of teaching), and before I retire, I'd like to be able to afford this opportunity to students of color. It seems so unfair that many of them simply can't afford to go.
