Hi there I’m Miranda Silveira a 23-year-old dancer with San Francisco Ballet!

Next summer (2018) I’ll be teaching dance to kids of all ages in the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador) as part of the Performing Arts Abroad volunteer program.
I hope to share with the kids the joy of Ballet and Contemporary techniques both as an educational and an artistic form of expression.
Although aware of the traditional dance and music from all the different regions of Ecuador, I love the idea of sharing an art form that may not be accessible to many of the kids in Galapagos.

I crave new life-changing experiences at all times and cannot wait for this new one!

    Updates On My Trip!
    This morning I had a Skype session with one of the organizers of Performing Arts Abroad about my two week volunteer program. Things are starting to fall beautifully into place.

    Recently it just hit me how this trip is going to be a life-changing experience.
    After I got accepted at the program I started organizing my fund page, contacting friends and family about my summer plans… but couldn’t really believe it until now.

    I've been informed that I'll be teaching kids from 5 to 10 years old. A very motivated crowd ready to absorb all of the knowledge.
    Teaching a minimum of 10 hours a week in San Cristóbal is going to be such a turn in my life.
    During these two weeks I’ll have some time off to work on my explorer self and enjoy one of the last paradises on Earth.

    Eager beyond words to inspire people to love and create dance!
