Thanks to my school I have been afforded the amazing opportunity to volunteer in Ghana next summer leaving on 22nd July.

While I'm in Ghana I will be supporting African Adventure partner schools supporting with teaching and sports whilst also helping out with a bit of building too!  With 60 children in a tiny classroom, the environment is very different to the privilege that we experience her in the UK. A wonderful opportunity to make an impact. ⭐️ 

As this ain't the usual school trip, I am encouraged to raise my own finances. In an effort to fund my trip I am going to strive to run 1000km between now and my departure date...my calculator tells me that it works out at approximately 84km a month! I love running but this is far beyond anything I've done before but walking onto the plane knowing I am going to make a difference and having funded it myself will, I believe, give me a huge sense of achievement.
