My Travel Story

My name is Miranda Viloria, I'm from Venezuela and I was given the opportunity to study Performing Arts at The University of Gloucestershire in the UK.

I have loved acting my whole life. Since a very young age, I was very passionate about music and arts. I had piano lessons from when I was 7 years old until I was twelve. I started doing theatre when I was thirteen, and from then on, I began to use my writing skills to write my own monologues and plays. I also love singing, and though I have not had much training, I was part of several school choirs while growing up.

I am very passionate about studying in Gloucestershire as it will allow me to improve my performing skills and to get the high quality education I have been dreaming of. My big goal is to become a great actress and play roles in big musicals as well as writing some of my own.  Additionally, studying in the UK will be a great opportunity to work in the film industry, which is part of my career plans. I would not be able to reach these dreams in Venezuela, where the economic situation has affected the quality of education and the possibility of finding a good job.

I am very drawn to the international environment and I think that working and studying with people from other cultures will be beneficial for my personal growth and will become an inspiration for my future stories and projects.  It will be deeply meaningful for me to develop as an artist and to contribute to the artistic community to have a different vision of the world that hopefully will inspire and change people's lives.
