It has been 7 years now since my brother moved to Jacksonville, FL. In this time, we have both missed a lot of milestones in each other's lives: he got married divorced, I graduated university, became a mathematics teacher... However the we have both missed being able to be there for one another during times of need. 2 years ago he and his current partner we in a terrible accident where they were pedestrians hit by a drunk lorry driver leaving them both with severe injuries. None of my family were able to visit during his time of need due to money issues. 3 years ago I was in a very dark place mentally and tried to commit suicide after getting out of an abusive relationship, and he was unable to come and comfort me in this time of need. Our eldest brother has also just beaten cancer, and our little sister is recovering from an eating disorder.

Summer 2019 my family and I decided we have to go and visit him, this trip was supposed to be August 2020. However due to COVID-19 it was postponed. We are now planning to go September 2021, however due to the pandemic and financial difficulty I have had to use the money saved for this trip to live off and so may not be able to go on this once in a lifetime trip with the rest of my family.

Me and my brother were extremely close when growing up, and he was the only one I opened up to about my mental health problems. I want nothing more than to join my family I this trip. The first photo was taken the last time me and my younger sister saw our brother (middle)- I was 15 (far right), my sister was 8. The 2nd photo is me now. We I miss him terribly - please help me join the rest of my family on this incredible trip.
