We're Tommy and Mattie, two poor baristas trying to explore our beautiful country!

We started this journey in 2019. After having lived and worked in Colorado for a long time (Mattie a Colorado native, Tommy Oklahoma native CO resident of 8 years) we decided to take the next step as a couple and find a new home for ourselves. Both not having seen much of the U.S. and not quite sure where to go we made the choice to road trip it! But just as we were starting on renovating our rig the pandemic started. All of our efforts from then on were focused on making sure the local mom-and-pop coffee shop we were working for could stay afloat during those uncertain times. We worked as a skeleton crew on a volunteer basis, continuing to serve coffee to the community and ensure that the business wouldn't die. Eventually, after 3 years, we felt confident enough to leave the coffee shop and continue our long awaited plans. 

A 1969 Frolic 12 foot camper trailer, renovated completely by us, and a 2009 Nissan Murano are our homes now (Midge and Marlon respectively).  

We're wanting to explore all that this country has to offer, find the small towns that people don't know about, meet new people, and hopefully find a place to live that feels like home!
