Hi, my name is Ann, and I am a dedicated Health Sciences student working toward my dream of becoming a Physician Assistant (PA). My journey into the medical field has been driven by a passion for helping others, especially in underserved communities.
This year, I have been given the incredible opportunity to volunteer in Palawan, a province in the Philippines where access to healthcare is extremely limited. Many residents in this beautiful but underserved region face significant barriers to medical care, relying on small, underfunded clinics and traveling long distances to receive basic treatment. Volunteering there would allow me to gain invaluable experience while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need, and also to give back for my fellow Filipino's.
