My Travel Story

Hello, everyone! My name is Grayce Hueske and I go to Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. I am studying Exercise Science/Athletic Training with a Physical Therapy concentration and Spanish minor. This campaign is to help with my Spring 2018 study abroad trip to Auckland, New Zealand. I have always loved going on trips, but it was my senior year of high school when I realized I want to travel the world. That year I went to Costa Rica (the video & pictures above) with my high school Spanish class and did not want to return home. While there, we were in a very traditional/cultural area, so I really got to experience how different the culture was from America. Going to college I knew I wanted to study abroad but I had no idea where. I was debating between going somewhere exotic or going to a Spanish speaking country, but my decision came down to New Zealand after talking to a representative from TEAN (the company I will be traveling through). I told her my major and she said: "I have the perfect place for you." Therefore, I did some research on New Zealand and fell in love. There is just so much out there to see, and I don't want to be stuck in America without experiencing all the different cultures out there in this amazing world.
