Semester at Sea: Spring 2014!
My Travel Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Whitney Walton and I have been given the fortunate opportunity to embark on the Spring 2014 voyage with Semester at Sea. The voyage visits 16 cities in 14 countries in 112 days while providing exceptional ways to participate in volunteer projects, homestays, and other cultural interaction and immersion activities when in port.

I have never felt such an intense drive as I have towards Semester at Sea for its ability to augment academic excellence, intercultural exchange and global service. I am majoring in International Development with an emphasis on Human Rights. I plan to get my masters in social work to become a social worker for an international non-profit. I am very passionate about addressing human rights for creating a compassionate world and I know that SAS is the perfect opportunity to further my goals in creating sustainable change and will solidify my global understanding.
Semester at Sea is over-all an incredible opportunity and an experience unrivaled by any other abroad program. However, it is understandably expensive, and without some help I may not be able to set sail in January. Any support that you can provide is greatly appreciated, and wil contribute directly to my tuition, books, and education. Even $1 will help me get that much closer!
Thank you in advance for your support and encouragment to fulfill my dreams!
Best of wishes and take care!
