My Travel Story

A few years ago when I was still 15, I had an opportunity to go to a summer camp. I was young and excited. Traveling meant a lot to me. It still does! But at that time it was limited due to Visa restrictions. Coming from a new born country, as it is Kosovo, makes it hard for me as a citizen to come and go around freely... Until I got accepted to HAMK University in Finland.

I want to share my story How I met My Best Friend... I promise you it won't take 9 seasons.

Back to the summer of 2009, I went to a summer camp in Bulgaria. I was full of fear and excitement to go abroad for the first time. It was early morning when I arrived. Exhausted as I was all I wanted to do was sleep. Instead, I met my roommate and I don't remember sleeping much during 20 days of the camp. This girl became my best friend and I regret telling you that I haven't seen her for 5 years. I started my studies in September and along with it I am allowed to travel in Europe (Schengen zone). Yet being a student means not having enough money to finance my trips and what I am asking from you is to help me reunite with my Belarusian friend from Minsk. We will be staying a few days together in Poland, Warsaw. This trip won't be only for my friendship, I also want to visit Poland and meet different individuals who will help with my personal and cultural growth. 

This would mean the world to me!
