My Travel Story

As next year is approachingand my freinds are all rushing of to college whilst i am starting to plan my gap year/volunteer trip to Greece in order to protect endangered animals. I searched through many program's websites for a while and decided Global Vision Internationsl(GVI) is the program for me. They are a well established program that has networks world wide that helpfully collaborate with local communities. This decision provoked a lot of thinking for a long time and is definitley the right decision For me now. Dont get me wrong i cant wait to attend college and expand my knowledge in the classroom; however, next year I want to learn through experience, rather than in the classroom like i have previously done for 13 years. This program will allow me to make an impact in the world in a positive way through helping endangered turtles in Greece. My days will consist of surveying land , locating nests, helping around the campsite, educating locals about the animals needs, and protecting habitats. I cannot even imagine how much i am going to learn and be able to help next year and am excited to get started! However, as we all know, great things often come at a price... Any contributions you feel inspired to make towards my casue will be enourmasly appreciated and go towards travel expenses, program fees for room and board, and personal daily expenses (laundry, meals, ect.). Thank you so much for helping me to make a differnce and save animals from extinction!
