My Travel Story

It's been a dream of mine to travel ever since I was very young, but I have never had the opportunity to travel anywhere outside of the United States. Now that I'm attending Kent State University in Ohio, I've been faced with the amazing opportunity of studying abroad almost anywhere I want. My locations of choice are Kent State's campus in Florence, Italy, and the University of Leicester in Leicester, England. I am an English major, and after looking into it, I've been pleased to find that these two study abroad programs fit perfectly into the process of earning my Bachelor's Degree! From what I've been told, Florence and Leicester are wonderful places to study in and explore, and the programs are especially appealing since I have hopes to move to Europe after getting my degree. The only issue that I am faced with is the exorbitant cost.

As an undergraduate college student, I definitely do not have enough money in my bank account to afford these programs on my own, and neither do my parents. I will be steadfastly applying for as many scholarships as I can and hopefully will be able to pay off some of the increased tuition that way, but the chances of obtaining enough scholarship money to afford it entirely are rather low. In order to afford this incredible opportunity, I really need the much-appreciated assistance of others to help fund my semesters abroad.
