My Travel Story

  • Leadership/Training Program
This summer, I will travel to Tanzania to participate in two programs. With Global Leadership Adventures, I will for three weeks work at a village school improving facilities and teaching and spending time with children. I will also plant trees, help establish clean water supplies in villages, learn about the Maasai from the Maasai, and more. The link for the program appears below. With Gap Medics, I'll have a chance to explore my interest in medicine for two weeks by shadowing and assisting doctors in different hospital departments (including pediatrics, ER, tropical medicine and OB-GYN). When not in the hospital, I will volunteer in orphanages, schools for the disabled, and care homes. The link to this one is also appears below and the extra service projects are under Community Volunteering.

By contributing to this trip, you will help me explore an amazing part of the world and my interests in medicine and public health, development, and international relations. Any contribution, no matter how small, helps me reach my goal. Frequent Flyer miles would be great! You can contribute by credit card on this page (click "Fund Campaign") or by check made out and sent to me. If you want to donate frequent flyer miles, please contact me directly.

Thank you so much!!

  • Less Funds Needed!

Since writing up this campaign, I've received additional funds for $1,250, meaning I now need to raise $3,500 for the program fee instead of $4,750, for a total of $5,500 including airfare rather than $6,750.
