Send Milly to dive in Madagascar!
My Travel Story
This will be a big challenge as the work is intense and amenities are very basic, but I’m excited for a completely different experience and to do worthwhile volunteering in an extremely underdeveloped area of the world I’ve never visited.
As part of my fundraising I ran the Meadows Half Marathon on 2nd March (in Edinburgh), completing it in 2 hrs 17 mins. This was such a big achievement for me as i'm not a runner, but it was so helpful in raising awareness for this cause and i'm really grateful for all the support i've had from it!
Some of the things I’ll be doing on the project include:
• Delivering environmental education in local schools
• Locating, mapping and studying the coral reefs
• Identifying and studying behavior of reef fish
This data is then used to provide local communities and government bodies with the information they need to design and implement management plans for the future protection of this delicate marine ecosystem.
I would really appreciate any donations or support, thank you for reading this!
