My Travel Story

I've always wanted to volunteer. Setting aside time that's dedicated to serving someone other than myself has been on my mind for ages. But I've finally worked this out and I'm taking the plunge. 4 weeks of $0 income is terrifying to me, but this is going to happen. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I found this great organization called International Volunteer HQ and they work with a nonprofit organization called Jive in Rio de Janeiro. They arrange accomodation, volunteer placement, meals etc. But there are still costs involved. 

What does this trip mean? It means that I will get to help people practice a skill they would otherwise possibly not have access to. And it means that I will get to realize my conviction that people shouldn't always only look out for themselves.

Your contribution will go towards my program fees and registration. The flight costs includes a one-way ticket only since I'll be staying down there for a while. Thanks for your support!
