My Travel Story

In the past two summers I have had the oppurtunity to experience so many things. Volunteer service in the Dominican Republic and a 2 week backpacking trip opened my eyes to how beautiful the world really is. On these trips I have found not only a love for travel itself but also for witnessing different cultures first hand. With these amazing experiences and new tastes fully digested, coming back to my New York City public school is extremely disheartening. Instead of 4 walls and a blackboard, I'm hoping to recieve my education from the world at large, and with your help I can achieve just that! Italy would open my eyes to a new culture, especially with the many UNESCO world heritage sites, museums, language, and recipes (which I would be happy to take back home!)
Italy would provide me with a greater sense of culture, purpose, and help me grow as a person. Studying abroad will show me the world through a local's eyes and make memories that will last forever. Different cultures can provide a different pair of eyes- so on my return back home I can develop a new appreciation for the beauty of my city.
This means the world to me, and I am very grateful for any support. Thankyou for your help!
