My Travel Story

For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of seeing Scotland, the land of my family lineage and the country of my grandparents’ youth and my mother’s childhood. Their stories of growing up in Scotland, its people, culture and customs, have always fascinated me and kept me connected to a past that I’ve never seen. They led me on imaginary adventures from the picturesque highlands and lowlands of their tales; impassioned the part of me that has always longed to compete in a Highland Games or taste a traditional Scottish meal; invigorated a part of me that longs for more of Scotland’s wild, rich cultural life. I hope to visit Scotland, to visit the roots of my heritage, walk in the footsteps of my ancestors and experience the natural splendor and continued traditions of a country that I have always imagined can offer me so much.
