My Travel Story

I have been given the opportunity to go to London, UK for International Business during the spring break. This opportunity will allow me to compare aspects of industry in England to aspects of industry in the U.S. I will also have the opportunity to learn about the history, society, and economic activities of London.

Here are some of the businesses we will learn about: Trinity Mirror, European Commission, GE Capital, Financial Times, London Stock Exchange, J.P. Morgan Ventures Energy Corporation, US Embassy

Here are some of the places we will visit: London City walking tour, The House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Stonehenge & Bath

This program cost $4,000 without a scholarship.  I am currently applying for scholarships and meeting with financial aid so this price should substantially go down. Once I find out the final price I will update the site. This cost includes a round trip airfare from/to Norfolk, airport transfers, accommodations, all breakfasts, welcome dinner and farewell dinner, international travel & health insurance, all in-country transportation and entrance fees, and study abroad fee.

Those who know me know that I have been trying to travel to another country for quite a while. Ever since I took art and foreign language courses in high school. I had the chance to go to France and Greece, but as we know these programs are not cheap. I feel like college has a lot to offer me and I just can´t keep passing up valuable opportunities. A lady in the Study Abroad office told me if you want it bad enough you will make it happen. So this is my attempt of trying to make it happen.
