My Travel Story

Hello world! I am pursuing a double Master degree in Public Health and could use some help covering the travel expenses. 

I am so excited to live abroad. It will be my first time leaving the U.S. for more than 2 weeks at a time. I hope to expand my worldview and come back in 2 years an educated, more compassionate human being, ready to make a difference.

This trip is very meaningful to me. For one, the goal is to study hard and obtain a MPH. This is something of a family legacy, following in my grandmother's footsteps. She was the first woman in my family to get a Master's degree, and she too received it in Public Health. Secondly, I will be spending the first year in Ireland. I have relatives I have never met living there. With this trip, I can learn more about my family history. 

Most of all, I want to learn comparative health systems that have the most potential for adaptation to the U.S. Perhaps by learning from countries in Europe, America can come up with innovative health policies that will improve the quality of life for all U.S. residents, regardless of income.
