Oscar Beard, 11yo, a talented young scholar from Manor Texas who has earned the honor of representing our state and the United States at the International Geography Championships (World Geography Bee division) in Khao Lak, Thailand, July 4-12, 2026.

Oscar  has demonstrated exceptional dedication and excellence in geography. In 2025, he secured two gold medals in San Antonio (one in Geography and one in History) and two silver medals in Austin (again in Geography and History). He also placed 3rd in the nation for Asian Geography at a national competition in Florida—highlighting his deep knowledge and competitive edge.

As a proud Texas native, Oscar embodies the spirit of curiosity, hard work, and intellectual pursuit that defines our state. This international opportunity will allow him to compete against the world's best young geographers, fostering global awareness and cultural exchange while representing Texas on the world stage.

We are actively fundraising to cover travel, registration, and related expenses, and we still have a meaningful gap to close. Your generous sponsorship would directly enable this deserving student to participate fully and bring pride back to Texas.

Thank you for considering this investment in a bright young Texan's future. (Story link
