Taking my nursing experience to Tanzania!
My Travel Story
I am so grateful to have the unbelievable opportunity to travel to Arusha, Tanzania this summer for a two week medical volunteer trip. Though I am no longer practicing nursing, I still maintain my RN license and thought this was the perfect chance to not only travel to an area of the world I have been eager to see but also be able to give back to a community that is in such dire need of medical assistance.
The hospitals and clinics in the area I will be visiting are always in need of medical supplies and donations. Simple things like: bandages, gloves, hand santizer, and wound care equipment are a scarcity there.
I plan to bring donations to the facilities I am volunteering at. I am not asking for assistance in funding my trip, but rather, if anyone would care to donate even a small amount towards the medical supplies I plan to purchase for the hospitals and clinics in and around Arusha I, as well as the medical staff and patients would so greatly appreciate it!
Thank you so much in advance! This is an experience of a lifetime and I cannot wait!
