At 34, I’m ready to start a new chapter for myself and my dog, Maverick. My dream is to move to Norfolk, Virginia, finish school, and build a stable, secure future — one where I can stand fully on my own two feet.

I wasn’t born into financial stability, and while that isn’t anyone’s fault, it often feels like I’ve been running life’s race from a few steps behind. No matter how hard I push forward, I’ve always been playing catch-up instead of truly enjoying the game. I want to change that cycle — not just for myself, but to prove that with determination and support, it’s possible to rise above the circumstances you were handed.

Norfolk is where I see opportunity: a strong community, career potential once I finish my degree, and the environment for both Maverick and me to thrive. Education is my pathway to independence, and financial security will allow me to focus on building a future instead of constantly fighting to stay afloat.

Most importantly, I want to do this on my own — without relying on anyone else to provide for me. Every bit of support brings me closer to standing tall, completing my education, and giving Maverick the adventurous, happy life he deserves.
