Welcome to my campaign for my upcoming trip to Luang Prabang, Laos as a volunteer English teacher. I'm ready to embark on a journey towards making a difference in the community by providing a valuable education for the children in monasteries and elementary schools.
My passion for this project stems from my desire to engage with the world around me and step out of my comfort zone. I have always had a deep respect for culture and education, and combinig these by teaching English to children seems like the perfect apportunity to give back.
I chose Luang Prabang because of it's rich educational history with Buddhism and for it's high poverty and illiteracy rates. I believe that every child deserves the chance to learn from passionate teachers, and that education is one of the most significant ways to alleviate poverty and make a lasting impact on society.
To me personally, this project is meaningful because it will provide a space for me to gain personal growth while having a meaningful impact!
