My Travel Story

by: Michelle Guo Start Date: Feb 4, 2020 - End Date: May 13, 2020
Hi !

I'm Michelle, a second-year student at Université de Montréal, currently doing my bachelors in Teaching French as a Second Language. Ever since high school, I've enjoyed doing volunteering (won the award for most involved student in his/her community two years straight hehe) and I've been meaning to expand my enthusiasm for helping out others to an international level. My love for board games and teaching has motivated me to spend my summer doing a project of international cooperation in beautiful Sucre, Bolivia. With my other peers and I, we will select board games that target the development of children, create a toy library within the community center and promote learning among the communities.

Our project is in collaboration with l'AMIE, a québécois nonprofit organization who has been working for 50 years in helping children out in the world and is partly sponsored by the Québec government as well. Yet I must raise 2000$ and that's why I'm asking you, dear friend or kind stranger, for your donation.

Any amount will be greatly appreciated! (-:

*** If you're a Canadian citizen and you're interested into making a donation of 25$ +, you can receive a tax credit deduction if you make the donation directly to l'AMIE instead of doing it on this platform. Let me know if this interests you, I will send you more details. ***
