Honoring My Mother’s Dream: A Journey Through History

My mother and I shared a deep love for history—especially Ancient Rome. We spent countless hours talking about the past, imagining what it would be like to walk through the Colosseum, to stand where gladiators once fought, and to feel the weight of history beneath our feet. It was her dream to visit, but she never got the chance. Last year, I lost her, and with her, a part of me.

Now, I want to take this journey for both of us—to stand where she always wished to, to see the Colosseum with my own eyes, and to honor her passion for history in the best way I can. But this dream doesn’t stop in Rome. My mother also loved exploring the stories of ancient civilizations and religion, and a trip to Egypt and Israel would be another way to keep her memory alive. From the pyramids of Giza to the sacred sites of Jerusalem, every step I take will be in honor of the woman who taught me to love the past.
