A Semester Down Under to Experience and Learn New Wonders
My Travel Story
my name is Robert; I am currently a senior at Salisbury University's Perdue School of Business (Yes, the chicken company) in Salisbury, Maryland. I am an Information Systems major with an Accounting and Finance minor. I am raising money to help finance my fixed and variable costs of studying abroad in Melbourne, during the spring of 2017. I have wanted to study abroad in Australia ever since my dad's friend, Matt talked to me about his trips to Australia; it is because of him that I am so anxious to go and experience a new culture.
While studying abroad in Melbourne I plan to leave my American stereotype(s) behind and immerse myself in a new experience with my fellow study abroad students. The team at CIS abroad has helped me match up with an AACSB accredited business school at La Trobe University so that I can get the most out of my time while studying in Melbourne. Additionally, While in Australia I intend to leave the states behind; meet new people, experience different foods, and interact with some interesting critters! Also, I am going to partake in the volunteer activities that are offered by the CIS abroad staff, so that I can give back to Melbourne, for all that it has, and will do for me. Academically, I will be taking classes that are directly related to my major and will transfer over to the states towards my degree.
