My mom was a banker for 30 years.Took care of her siblings when she came to the United States.After her job relocated and forced her to retire early.She got depressed because she loved her job.As time went by her mom got Dementia.She took care of her for 6 years and couldn't do it anymore.She placed her mom in a nursing home.Now my mom has memory problems....created from stress taking care of her mom.We encouraged to go meet new people So she started going to this senior center and she loves it.With medication my mom is doing much better with her medication but she's aware her memory may one day disapear.It's heart renching because she knows and she constantly ask for me to help slow this down.Guys my mom has always took care of EVERYONE in the family.Now I'm her caretaker.All she talks about is a trip back to place of birth,Barbados.I'm unable because I took a leave of absence for 2years just to take care of her.Even though I recently went back .My funds are depleted.I just want to take her to her happy place for her 70th birthday.She truly deserves it.
