My Travel Story
We've been selected to exhibit Luna at the Africa Tech Festival 2025 (https://africatechfestival.com/) in Cape Town, one of the continent’s most influential stages for tech innovation. This is an incredible opportunity to showcase how we’re using AI and chat to make mental health care more accessible, especially for young women and underserved communities in Uganda.
Growing up, I personally struggled with anxiety and lacked access to safe, affirming mental health support. That lived experience inspired me to create Luna, a culturally-sensitive, affordable teletherapy service built by and for young people. Today, we have over 80+ users on our waitlist, and we're just getting started.
Exhibiting at Africa Tech will:
- Open doors to global partnerships and funding.
- Help us build credibility and expand access.
- Let us learn from and connect with leading innovators shaping Africa’s tech future.
But we can’t do this alone. As a grassroots team, we’re self-funded and need support to cover travel, accommodation, and exhibition costs. Your contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to putting African mental health solutions on the global map.
