Hi everyone,

I’ve always believed that education is the most powerful way to change lives—because it has already changed mine. I am a first-generation college student from Greece, raised in a family of eight, where my parents have worked tirelessly to support my siblings and grandparents. Since I was 16, I’ve been financially independent—not only supporting myself but also giving back to my family. Balancing full-time studies with part-time jobs during the academic year and full-time work in the summers, I’ve never let financial struggles stop me from chasing my dreams.

Now, I have the chance to study abroad at the University of Melbourne, one of the top universities in the world. This is more than just a semester abroad for me—it’s a step toward my future. I’m currently studying Economic Development at the University of Richmond, and my goal is to pursue a PhD in the field to research and shape policies that can improve economic opportunities for people like me—people who are capable and hardworking but held back by financial barriers.

This semester abroad will allow me to learn from top professors, immerse myself in new perspectives, and build the global understanding I need to make real change. But as a limited-income student, funding this opportunity is a huge challenge.

I’ve always found ways to support myself, but this time, I need help. Your support would cover tuition gaps, travel costs, and living expenses in Melbourne, making this dream possible.
