Hi everyone! I am Ella, a Dutch girl and 18 years old with a big passion for food. To eat or to cook, both these things keep me me busy all day. I lovehow you can turn something so normal (eating), into something so special and beautiful. Food is necessary, everyone needs it, so why not make it more interesting for the taste, as for the looks of it, the smell and the texture of it. Well, 3 years ago I found this program at the University of Gastronomic science in Pollenzo, Italy. I read the flyer and knew this is what I wanted to do. It does not only let you learn more about certain products, but also the importance of them, cultural differences in the world, slow food, environmental friendly producing and consuming etc. And what better way to gain knowledge about gastronomy in Italy. Piedmont is a region full of lovely, local products, where people take care of their products. I hope to become a gastronome and pursue my passion in cooking and making a difference in the enviromental obstructing of food!

As I have been so excited about going to this University, I also realized that the program costs quite an amount of money. In hope to still make it possible for me to go there I am trying lots of ways to get all the money together to pay the fee.
Also the region, Piemonte, is a known region in my family. We have been visiting Italy regularly since I was little and fell in love with the culture, people and food. Piemonte got a special place in our heart, so to be able to study there is even better!

I would love to share my experience throughout pictures, blogs and videos! So you can stay updated on my time here and of course to gain some more knowledge about the future of our food :)
