My Travel Story
My name is Emily, I am 15 years old and I live in Dorset. I am year 11 at a local High school, where I am a Prefect and part of the school council.
It has been a dream of mine to go to Africa and be actively involved in the projects out there. The volunteer trip to Kenya will involve working in a local school, where I will be involved in helping with the teaching and activities with the local children. We will also be involved practically in helping with the building construction at the school.
I will be attending the trip with other Dorset students my age. This trip will have an incrediable impact on my life- seeing how other parts of the world live- giving me a much better perspective of my own life in the UK. Having an opportunity to help in a little way, have an influence in the lives of the Kenyan children, but knowing full well they will have a much bigger impact on my own life.
