My Travel Story

by: Alessandro Ponzo Start Date: Oct 15, 2024 - End Date: Apr 14, 2025
Hello everyone,

Life sometimes throws us unimaginable challenges, and my story is one of those. In the past few years, I’ve faced immense pain, losing both of my parents. They were my anchor, my guides, and since they passed, I’ve been left searching for a new sense of direction, a new purpose.

This grief has taught me how short and precious life is, and now more than ever, I feel the need to embark on a journey to rediscover myself, to heal my wounds, and find new hope. I want to set out on a journey around the world, not just to see new places but to rediscover the world with fresh eyes, to heal, and to honor my parents by doing what they always wanted for me: to live life fully and find my own path.

My Dream
My dream is to visit places my parents loved or dreamed of seeing. I want to explore different cultures, immerse myself in new experiences, and find inspiration in every corner of the planet. I want to fill my heart with beauty and learn how to cope with loss through strength and hope.

The journey will include stops in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and Oceania. Each destination will be a part of this healing journey, and I want this trip to be a celebration of life, the world, and the legacy of my parents.

How You Can Help
I’m asking for your help to make this journey possible. 15.000 €/$ will cover the costs of travel, including flights, accommodations, and transportation. No matter how big or small the contribution, every single dollar will bring me one step closer to this dream, which means far more than just an adventure. It’s a way for me to find myself again and to move forward.

Why This Journey Matters
I need time to heal, and this journey represents a great opportunity to do just that. It’s not just a personal experience, but a way to honor my parents’ memory by living the way they would have wanted for me: fully, despite the pain. By carrying their spirit with me in every place I visit, I will feel closer to them, discovering the world with their legacy in my heart.

Sharing and Gratitude
If you’re unable to donate, I would still be immensely grateful if you could share this fundraiser with your friends and contacts. Every share helps bring me one step closer to this journey of healing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, whether it’s financial or moral. Every gesture of solidarity reminds me that I’m not alone on this path.

Thank you so much to everyone. With your help, this dream can become a reality.
