Katie Goes Down Under!
My Travel Story
My name is Katie Allison and I am a junior at Western Carolina University. I'm planning on attending a semester at James Cook University from February through June this coming year. Through this program I will be able to interact with the culture and environment of Australia! I will be the only one from WCU (go cats) who will attend this school and so I am so excited to represent Western this spring. While I am at JCU, I will be taking a full schedule of classes to make sure that I will stay on track for graduation in May of 2019. My future job will be working with environmental justice and I will be able to observe how other developed nations use environmental law with their indigenous and disenfranchised populations.
When I was given the opportunity to go abroad I knew that I had to take it. I know that once I leave college I will never get to do something like this again. As most of y'all know, I have been working two jobs on campus (along with my 18 hour course load) to assist with my future expenses abroad, but I still need your help! If you feel compelled to donate anything, please do! I would be eternally grateful.
Love and Blessings, Katie
