My Travel Story

Deuce just turned nine years old last month, and I’ve had him since he was just seven weeks old — a tiny pup who grew into my shadow, my heart, and my peace. Through every season of life, he’s been there: patient, protective, and always ready to remind me that love doesn’t need words.

Now, as we both enter a new chapter, I want to give him the adventure of a lifetime — a heartfelt journey across the country from Miami to Los Angeles. But this road trip isn’t just for us; it’s a chance to learn, explore, and give back.

Along the way, we’ll be researching and documenting dog-friendly travel in America — from parks and trails to hotels, cafés, and hidden gems that welcome pets with open arms. I want to create a small educational series from our findings — sharing how traveling with pets can strengthen emotional health, build community, and deepen the bond between humans and animals.

Each stop will be part of a bigger purpose:

Visiting local animal rescues and shelters to learn about their stories and needs.


Documenting pet-friendly destinations that encourage more responsible travel with dogs.


Highlighting the mental health benefits of companionship and adventure through real experiences.


Deuce and I will collect insights, photos, and stories to later compile into a reflective travel journal — something that inspires others to cherish their pets and see the world through gentler eyes.
