Konnichiwa, minisan,

I am thrilled to be going to Japan, a lifelong dream. Your donations are greatly appreciated, as I have tried on my own as a freelance writer to secure the funds needed to start this journey on the right foot. 
As a new English teacher in Japan, I hope to affect young minds and exchange our cultural values. On an educational level, my desire is to uncover unsung heroes and stories that combine the Japanese and American experience with the rest of the world. 
This adventure will make a difference in my new community in Japan as students will take their new English skills and communicate with communities around the world. My home community will learn the insights Japan offers as a travel destination.
I have family in Okinawa and have wanted for years to watch them grow. The goal was to see them mature into adults, but now that milestone has passed, I would like to get to know them and help them build the lives they want to live and by becoming fluent in Japanese, I will meet this goal. My passion has always been to learn a second language and travel all over Japan. No better time like the present.
