I chose the study abroad program because students have the opportunity to explore Heredia and San José, located in the geographic, economic, and social center of Costa Rica during Spring Break. While abroad, students will conduct academic and company visits to Doka Coffee, Café Britt, Starbucks and more, while learning about the coffee business! Students will also have the opportunity to hear from a non-coffee related business as well to get a fuller picture of the Costa Rican business landscape.This aligned well with my personal career choice and degree since I'm a business undergraduate and also a Starbucks partner! In honor of my Army veteran brother Marcus, I chose this program due to the benefits of my career path to make my brother proud! I choose to learn as much as I can on this trip to pay respects to my dear brother and I just need help financially! : )
