Music is intimacy. It has the power to provoke a single memory with just a note or lyric. It is a universal language. Music can put a smile on your face or it can bring you to tears. It takes a unique kind of individual to be able to musically reach the hardest of audiences. I want to bring forth that kind of depth into my music.

Being a singer is not just about singing pretty notes, it's about what you do with your voice. I want to evoke change and purpose through my voice. I don’t want to just be another artist with a nice voice. I want my singing to affect people. I want to be able to show different layers and perspectives through my music, but I can’t do that if I have only experienced this current culture. My knowledge of the world has to be expanded on to get to where I want to be. This trip isn’t just a joyride in Italy. This trip could provide me with some clarity about how I want to tackle the world. This experience is going to challenge me to step outside of who I am for the betterment of my career and myself. I want all of the hard work that I put into this career to not go to waste. This trip could help me to find more purpose out of this life.
