My Travel Story

This year, I have the opportunity to travel to rural Ghana through International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) to take part in community infrastructure projects that support local villages through hands-on manual labor. This is much more than a trip for me — it’s a chance to contribute directly to meaningful work that can positively impact everyday life for families and children in underserved communities.

During my time in Ghana, I will be working alongside local residents and coordinators to help improve community spaces through renovation, construction assistance, and other labor-focused projects. Many rural communities face limited access to safe and reliable infrastructure, and even small improvements can make a lasting difference. Whether helping restore a school, repair shared spaces, or assist with construction efforts, every day of work will contribute toward projects designed to strengthen the community long-term.

To participate in this program, volunteers are responsible for covering travel expenses, program fees, housing, meals, transportation, and travel insurance. I’m fundraising to help make this opportunity possible and to ensure I can fully dedicate my time and effort to serving the community while I’m there. I am hoping this fundraising opportunity not only helps with travel expenses but can also go above and beyond to fund donations of daily essentials, medical supplies, and school supplies to families in the community.

I’m asking for your support in helping me reach this goal. Any donation, no matter the amount, will directly support my ability to participate in this program and contribute to these community projects.
