Hello my name is Josseline Martinez! I am currently 17 years old and am officially a senior for the 2020-2021 school year. I live in the community of 5th Ward in Houston, Texas.

The reason for this fundraiser is to help pay towards my senior trip to Italy and Greece. I want it to be a celebration for all the hard work I’ve put in school and a motivation to continue to pursue my dreams. You see, I will be a first generation college student and I want nothing more than to make my parents proud and set an example for my 3 younger siblings. After high school, I plan to attend a university in-state and graduate with a Bachelors in Biology. I will later attend optometry school to eventually become an optometrist.

The trip will take place in the summer in the year of 2021. In this trip, I will be exploring various regions in Italy and Greece and visit some historical landmarks. I believe this trip will bring unforgettable experiences, and it’s not everyday when someone gets to travel. Additionally, the trip will serve as a reminder that hard work does pay off. I will learn about a new culture and experience in-person how the past has brought us thus far.

Although it is still far from the future, I believe it will make some of the monthly payments less of a burden to my parents and I. The money will go towards EF tour's program, which includes housing, food, and transportation accommodations as well as pay my entrance to some historical landmarks. My parents have already paid $1,000 towards the trip. Thank you so much for making my dream trip come true! May God bless!
