Ever since I was young I’ve been wanting to travel and make a difference to the world, I know, I feel like everyone says that. I come from a very sheltered small town and I never really feel like I’m experiencing anything or making a difference in any way. Volunteering abroad would be life changing for me, for anyone really. I’d be able to experience a new culture while making meaningful connections and giving back. I believe volunteering in Zanzibar would be perfect for me as I’ve been learning Swahili for about a year now and also have family that live in Mombasa which is 12hrs drive away from the island. I am so excited to give back and help in anyway I can.
