My Travel Story

Hi! My name is Becca and next year I will be teaching English abroad in Madrid at a primary school called CEIP Ramiro de Maeztu (I'm so excited!!). I recently graduated from George Washington University in DC with a degree in international affairs and double minors in Spanish and sustainability and will be spending the next year living abroad while teaching children English and practicing my Spanish. I have been teaching non-native English speakers for the past 2 years, which has been a life-changing experience for me, and I am looking forward to the benefits and challenges that teaching English abroad will offer. I am so excited to embark on this journey and hopefully make a difference in the lives of Spanish youth, but my finances are a bit tight and the program does not offer a huge living stipend. I have never traveled abroad before so this will be my first experience living in another country and having help financing my teach abroad experience would make me feel a lot better (and much less nervous) about the upcoming year.
