My Travel Story

Spill the Tea Book Club is excited to celebrate our 4th year Reunion in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico!  Our book club comprises of  21 empowered ladies who all have the passion for spilling the tea on books.  This book club was born during the toughest times we have ever had to endure collectively, the COVID pandemic.  We started with 4 girls who shared with another and that person then told another...and somehow 4 years later, we have a book club that has helped foster the love of reading!   WHAT MAKES THIS BOOK CLUB SO UNIQUE? Through their love of reading they have come together and formed a sisterhood. We build confidence, set personal goals, build a support system to engage in discussions around mental health and overall well-being. We are a diversed group whose mission is to explore all cultures and their origins.  Our goal is to broaden our horizons to gain a new perspective on life, which leads to personal growth and self discovery.  We not only help within our group, we also give back to the community. This past year we made over a 100 homeless bag filled with personal hygiene and gift cards.  We also purchased shirts from a local female small buisness to raise money for Cerebral Palsy, and donate books to local book boxes and schools. These ladies are sweet, kind, respectful and supportive to one another, but wait I forgot to mention, some never even met in person.  We are a virtual book club and live in various different states.
These women warm my heart when I see what they cultivated!  One critical aspect of our book club's success is providing our members with the opportunity to meet in person once a year.  We understand that travel expenses can often be a barrier for many potential attendees.  Some of our members are financially struggling with funds for their flight, hotel and excursions.   We believe that your partnership would help us to create a truly enriching experience for all participants so NO ONE is left behind!!!!
