One important part of nursing is understanding different cultures, and I believe immersing myself into a culture completely different is the perfect way to begin this journey. Providing unbiased care is one of the most important parts of nursing, and I will be immersing myself into Nepali culture in the summer of 2021. I will be volunteering as a nurse at a hospital in Pokhara that is lacking in health care providers for 5 weeks. The last week of my journey I will be sent into a mountain village to provide health care to people who do not normally have access.
