Greetings Family & Friends!
As most of you know, I am a yarn freak and all around "Yarnbender" who loves to create things with my hands. Recently I learned of an opportunity to travel with a group of like-minded folks on a yarn focused trip in March 2018 to Scotland; the land of my ancestors (well, some of them anyway)! I am not in a financial postition to get there on my own and so I am making this page to try to get the word out in the shortest amount of time because I think I have to have my commitment and payment made by December 1st. If this information changes, I will update this page. Click here "Lambs on the Run Go to Scotland" or on the link down below to see the agenda of the trip which will include world class knitting teachers and classes, tours through castles, etc., great accomodations, and yarn crawling. We will be starting off the trip by attending the Edinburgh Wool Festival, and as you can imagine, in the land of sheep, this is "where it's at"! I will also need to pay for my airfare. I looked at the numbers and it costs about the same to fly into London and take the train up to Edinburgh as it would to fly directly into Scotland and since I have never been in Europe, or left the North American continent, that option sounds amazing as I could see London briefly and then the countryside between while knitting on a train. I can't think of a more romantic thing than that (of course that is because I'm a yarn nerd)! I also figured out that if each of my Facebook friends were able to give me just $10.00-$13.00 I would be able to go on this trip. I was going to record a video, but I am running short of time. If I get that done I will update the page. And so, I ask humbly and from the bottom of my heart, if you have a spare few bucks, could you find yourself able to help send me to Scotland?? Thank you and stay tuned for updates and handmade incentives!

  • Happy Thanksgiving: I Am Thankful For All Of You!

Happy Thanksgiving: I am thankful for all of you!
Whoah, time has really started to speed up and things are starting to feel real! I have paid the deposit on my trip and now I am looking to working out the time off from work and finding and booking flights and train trips. Today my wonderful little sister, Linnea, bought me a raincoat for the March Scottish weather!! It is so exciting and also so surreal. I don't think it will really hit me until I nail down my flight info. I appreciate everyone who has already donated, and also appreciate those of you who are considering donating. I did find out that I can keep on paying the fee after December 1st, but I cannot extend the length of this particular campaign. Therefore, once this one expires, I will have a brand new campaign set up for the end of 2017 & beginning of 2018. Happy Thanksgiving, I hope that it is a warm and wonderful holiday!! XOXOXO

    A Wonderful Birthday Weekend!
Hello folks, I am here to update you on my campaign, of course! A shout out to William Montgomery and Kim Smith!! Thank you so much for finding a way to donate! I love this cartoon of the little octopus girl surrounded by yarn. That is what I wish sometimes, that I had more than just two hands and arms to work on projects. This past week (Thurs, Nov 2nd) was my birthday and my boyfriend Eric treated me to some lovely R&R in the mountains! I saw my eldest niece in her first musical stage production, and I spent some time with dear friends playing board games. It was a beautiful way to celebrate! I also attended a knitting workshop for a knitted and felted (fulled) bag that I am making and some of those ladies will be going to Scotland and others have generously donated to my trip, and some are doing both!! I am just so excited and so grateful to everyone! I also got to hand one of my donators her reward! She picked a lovely pair of fingerless gloves! I promise, soon, I will be getting other rewards out to my wonderful contributors! Till next time...XOXOXOXO!!
